| Job Description |
With international partners (INRIA, ProActive Startup, HP, Oracle, Amadeus, Société du Canal de Provence), using the ProActive middleware, the goal of this project is to create a Service Oriented distributed platform allowing companies to take full advantage of their hardware resources (company Grid). The project is challenging as it aims at integrating the Infrastructure Management (IM), the Business Process Management (BPM), and the Business
Intelligence (BI). All these aspects, are usually highly data and compute intensive as they relies on deployments, searches, simulations, analysis and
predictions.
ProActive is a GRID Java library (Open Source code) for parallel, distributed, and multi-threaded computing, also featuring mobility and security in a
uniform framework. ProActive provides a comprehensive toolbox simplifying the programming of parallel applications:
executing on Multicore CPUs, distributed on Local Area Network (LAN), on clusters, on data-center servers, or on multi-site Grids.
Overall, ProActive will be used to:
- manage distribution,
- gather resources and deploy applications,
- contribute to virtualization,
- integrate with existing IT management solutions,
- provide access to distributed data,
- provide ad hoc scheduling capacity,
- ease parallel programming for simulations and analysis.
The three engineers will take part to the development of the Java ProActive platform for AGOS, which include Java and Eclipse developments, as well as integration of legacy applications.

| Qualifications |
Technical experience requested:
===============================
- Java programming
- Distributed programming (Java RMI, sockets, J2EE, etc.)
- Service Oriented Architectures (SOA)
Ideally, we would like to hire:
- 1 experienced developer/Technical Lead (5 to 10 year experience),
- 2 developers (0 to 5 year experience).
Several personal qualities are important for the position:
- the capacity to integrate into a dynamic team of developers and researchers,
- the openness to take part into various international projects, including relationship with European and international partners
- the capacity to take into account the market needs, as conveyed by the industrial partners (HP, Oracle, Amadeus, SCP).
A senior engineer position within the ProActive startup company or within one of the industrial partners of the project will be the normal continuation at the end of the INRIA positions (up to 3 years).

Between 2 500 € and 3100 € per month (gross amount) + Benefits (Lunch allowance, sport and social) |
